John Morgan Wilson is a veteran journalist, fiction writer, and TV documentary writer.  Formerly on staff at the Los Angeles Times, he has written twelve books (ten fiction, two nonfiction) and hundreds of freelance articles for many major newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, the Chicago Tribune Magazine, Los Angeles, and the Advocate.  Among his awards are the Edgar Allan Poe Award (the Edgar) from Mystery Writers of America for Best First Novel, three Lambda Literary Awards for Best Gay Men's Mystery, and a Los Angeles Press Club Award for Excellence in Reporting on Media.  He is also the founding editor-publisher of Easy Reader in Hermosa Beach, CA, still being published more than forty years later.  A West Hollywood Resident since 1992, John formerly served on the planning committee of the annual West Hollywood Book Fair and in 2009 was the recipient of the Algonquin West Hollywood Community Award.  For thirty years, through 2008, he taught fiction and nonfiction writing courses for UCLA Extension.
