Zipcar kick-off event comes to West Hollywood. A new kind of Weho transportation.
Guess what? You can get around West Hollywood without owning a car! What a concept. No, it's not taking the bus (but that's a decent option). It's car sharing via Zipcar.
The car-sharing program launched Wednesday with 10 vehicles in reserved on-street parking spots in five locations throughout West Hollywood.
Mayor John J. Duran and members of the City Council, as well as representatives from Zipcar, welcomed the fleet in the Auto Court at the West Hollywood Library.
