UPDATE: Four Weho City Meetings Canceled Thursday

The Community Development Commission, Art on the Outside Subcommittee, Planning Commission Design Review Subcommittee and Rent Stabilization Commission have all canceled their meetings scheduled for Sept. 27.

If you were planning to attend city meetings for the Community Development Commission, the Art on the Outside Subcommittee, the Planning Commission Design Review Subcommittee or the Rent Stabilization Commission on Thursday, Sept. 27, note that all three have been canceled this week.

  • Canceled—Oversight Board to the Successor Agency of the West Hollywood Community Development Commission, 9/27/2012, 2 p.m.
  • Canceled—Art on the Outside Subcommittee Meeting, 9/27/2012, 3:30 p.m.
  • Canceled—Planning Commission Design Review Subcommittee, 9/27/2012, 5:30 p.m.
  • Canceled—Rent Stabilization Commission, 9/27/2012, 7 p.m.

Fact checking first is always a good idea. The Community Development Commission does not exist any more. It was WeHo's RDA which was dissolved by Gov Brown last June 2011.

@Riley I used the city website for this information. The site had a Community Development Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012. If that commission was squashed a year ago, I am unsure why it would be showing on the city calendar with a meeting date set for this Thursday.

Aren't the Jewish holidays likely a factor in at least some of these cancellations?

Not sure about Yom Kippur's effect on Thursday meetings bc the holiday ends Wednesday.
