With the city’s Community Development Director Anne McIntosh leaving her position, effective today, the city’s Planning Manager John Keho will step in as interim director until a permanent director is named.
“I’m excited,” Keho told Patch. “I’m looking forward to it.”
Keho will serve as interim director for about two months while the city conducts a nationwide search for a permanent director. Keho will also be among the candidates for that permanent slot.
“He is fantastic,” said McIntosh. “He has so much experience and knowledge of the city, it’s going to be great for the city of West Hollywood to have John Keho running things.”
Keho started working for the city in 1997 as an associate planner, working his way up to his current position of Planning Manager for Current and Historic Preservation Planning.
He will continue those duties as well as those of the Community Development Director. Since he’ll be doing double duty, he joked that he’ll bring a sleeping bag to work.
