An honorary static display will be placed at the Sal Guarriello Veterans Memorial on Patriot Day, Saturday, September 11, 2010 to pay tribute to those who died in the terrorist attacks eight years ago. The Sal Guarriello Veterans Memorial is located at Santa Monica Boulevard and Holloway Drive. Residents are invited to spend a quiet moment of reflection at the memorial in their memory.
On September 11, 2010 flags will be flown at half-staff at all government buildings at home and abroad, and Americans are asked to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. (EST) to recognize the time when the first of the World Trade Towers was struck by a plane on that day in history.
