"Keeper of the Dream" Awards
The city of West Hollywood is requesting nominations for its Annual Martin Luther King Jr. 2011 "Keeper of the Dream" Award.
The city says it will consider nominations from persons that live, work, own property and/or persons that serve the West Hollywood community. Employees for the city of West Hollywood not eligible for this award.
Nomination forms are due by 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010.

The award will honor an individual who has demonstrated exceptional community leadership all while embracing Dr. King's philosophy that "All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence… Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals."
Past award recipients have included Ivy Bottini, Jimmy Palmieri, Agassi Topchian, John J. Duran and Katherine Haber.

The "Keeper of the Dream" Award will be presented at the City's Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day event on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Pacific Design Center, 8687 Melrose Avenue.
To nominate an individual for the "Keeper of the Dream" award, please download the nomination form at www.weho.org/specialevents and send the completed form along with the qualifications document and two supporting letters to:
