Weho Police Investigate Chris Brown for Assault

The Grammy-winning vocalist allegedly punches singer Frank Ocean in the parking lot of a West Hollywood recording studio.

Sheriff's deputies are investigating reports that singer Chris Brown assaulted someone in a fight over a parking space in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Monday.

The "brief fight" was reported to have taken place in the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 7:48 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. David Valentine of the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.

Brown and his entourage left the location prior to the arrival of deputies, Valentine said, adding that investigators will be contacting Brown to ask whether he assaulted the alleged victim.
