Weho Police Blotter: Stolen Bikes, Stolen Phones and a Ransacked Home
Three business robberies also make this week's list.
Six vehicles were burglarized by unknown suspects. Total estimate of damage and articles taken was $5,151. Here is a list of incidents that occurred within the past week as compiled by the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.
Mobile thieves
A man reported that while working on his car in his subgarage, an unknown thief stole his $350 cell phone that was nearby. The crime occurred on the 1100 block of La Cienega Boulevard on Aug. 10 at about 8:30 a.m.

While eating at a restaurant, a woman left her $350 cell phone and identification unattended at a table. When she returned, she discovered an unknown thief had taken them. The crime occurred on Aug. 13 on the 8500 block of Sunset Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m.
At a nightclub, an unknown male described as Hispanic, stole a jacket containing a cell phone and fled on foot. The loss was estimated at about $150. The crime occurred on Aug. 19 on the 8900 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at about 12:05 a.m.

Bike thefts
During the day, an unknown thief stole a $1,200 bicycle from the open carport area of a residential building. The crime occurred at about 2pm on Aug. 11 on the 1300 block of Laurel Avenue.
At a park, an unknown thief stole a $440 bicycle and fled. The crime occurred on the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. The bike was reported at 3:00 p.m. on Aug. 18.
Stolen purses
An unknown thief entered a retail business and stole a purse from a display shelf. The crime occurred on the 600 block of Robertson Boulevard at about 3 p.m. on Aug. 12. The loss was estimated at about $2,495.
At a nightclub, a man placed his bag on the black of a chair and left it unattended. He later discovered his bag missing containing a digital camera, iPhone, wallet, cash, credit cards and identification. The total loss was estimated at about $580. The crime occurred on Aug. 16 at about 9:00 on the 600 block of Robertson Boulevard.
Stolen treasure
A man reported that an unknown thief stole his watch, bracelet and two rings from his residents. The total loss was estimated about $27,900. The crime occurred on Aug. 12 at about 9:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Kings Road.
Lock your doors
An unknown thief entered an unlocked vehicle in an open carport and stole a briefcase, iPod, eyeglasses, laptop computer and other miscellaneous medications. The total value was estimated at about $3,825. The crime occurred on Aug. 13 on the 1000 block of Larrabee Avenue at about 5:20 p.m.
An unknown thief entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a GPS system, iPod and sunglasses. The loss was estimated at about $565. The crime occurred on the 8700 block of Shoreham Drive on Aug. 14 at about 5 p.m.
During the night, an unknown thief entered an unlocked Jeep Wrangler and stole a wallet that was on top of the passenger seat. The victim says the wallet contained several credit cards, a Social Security card, identification and other miscellaneous items. The crime occurred at about 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 15 on Westbourne Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard.
DUI arrest
A male Caucasian driver was arrested for driving under the influence. The driver was involved in a traffic collision on the 7400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard on Aug. 12 at about 7 p.m.
Business robberies
An male entered a business located on the 8200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and forced an employee at a gunpoint to open the cash register. The suspect, described as African American, took about $2,000 and fled in a vehicle with two other unknown suspects. The crime occurred on Aug. 15 at about 11:30 p.m.
Two unknown males suspects described as African American entered a retail business and stole a bottle of liquor and fled in a vehicle. The crime occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on the 1200 block of La Brea Avenue on Aug. 18.
A Caucasian couple were observed shoplifting five DVD box sets, valued at about $100, from a retail business and leaving the location. The crime occurred on Aug. 14 at about 5:30 p.m. on the 7100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.
Home robbery
An unknown burglar entered a residents located on the 500 block of Flores Street and ransacked it. A laptop computer, jewelry, television and cash were taken. The loss was estimated at about $9,000. The crime occurred on Aug. 16 at about 7:00 p.m.
Deputies' log
- Five suspects were arrested for burglary or theft after being observed shoplifting at local retail businesses.
- Six vehicles were burglarized by unknown suspects. Total estimate of damage and articles taken was $5,151.
- Four reported stolen vehicles were recovered and the owners notified.
- Thirteen vehicles were impounded for thirty days since they were being driven by an unlicensed driver or a person with a suspended or revoked license.
