Results From Friday's DUI Checkpoint in West Hollywood: Four Arrests

All four arrests were drug or alcohol-related.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies made four arrests when they set up a DUI checkpoint in West Hollywood Friday, officials reported.

Deputies set up between 7 p.m. Friday and 3 am. Saturday on Santa Monica Boulevard at Robertson Boulevard.

"Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public," according to an LASD press release.

Here are the stats:

4483 vehicles through the checkpoint 
1846 drivers checked at the checkpoint 
1 DUI – alcohol suspect arrested 
1 DUI – drug (marijuana) suspect arrested 
1 public intoxication suspect arrested 
1 illegal possession of narcotics suspect arrested 
2 vehicles were stored for one day
