UPDATED: Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package at Sunset Blvd. and Crescent Heights

Traffic was blocked near Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Heights as LAPD bomb squad investigated suspicious package.

UPDATE 3: Los Angeles Police Department reports that "no devise was located" and that the suspicious package was an "empty safe only."

UPDATE 2: Roads reopened at Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Heights.

UPDATE: City News Service reports a suspicious package was found in the Chase bank in the 8100 block of Sunset Boulevard. The bank was evacuated.

Los Angeles Police Department reports a bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package in the 8100 block of Sunset Boulevard.

West Hollywood Sherriff’s Department officials report that Sunset Boulevard is closed off near that intersection. Traffic on Sunset is being diverted onto Harper Avenue to continue on Fountain Avenue.
