Actress is booked and released at the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station after colliding with a sheriff's patrol car on Robertson Boulevard.
Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested early Friday on suspicion of drunk driving after her black BMW hit a sheriff's patrol car at the intersection of Robertson and Santa Monica boulevards.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m., according to a West Hollywood Sheriff's report.
The sheriff's patrol car was stopped while northbound on Robertson Boulevard, preparing to turn right onto Santa Monica Boulevard, when "Bynes attempted to pass to the right of the radio car,'' said Lt. William Nash of the sheriff's West Hollywood station.

An investigation was conducted at the scene and 26-year-old Bynes was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.
Bail initially had been set at $5,000, but Bynes was released on a citation late Friday morning without having to post bail, Nash said.
