The City of West Hollywood’s 12th Annual Senior Health Fair will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. The Senior Health Fair will feature presentations, free health screenings and representatives from more than 40 community organizations. The fair is sponsored by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the City of West Hollywood, Jewish Family Service of L.A., the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and the Saban Free Clinic.
Among the free health screenings offered are those for Balance Assessment, Blood Glucose for Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Bone Density, Breast Cancer Risk Assessment, Dental, Hearing, Podiatry, Pulmonary Lung Function, Stroke and Total Cholesterol.
The Senior Health Fair is one of many events celebrating West Hollywood’s vibrant senior community during May, which is recognized across the country as Senior Month. Senior Month programming is presented by West Hollywood’s Senior Advisory Board and the Senior Activity Programs of the West Hollywood Comprehensive Services Center.
