Wednesday's Scoop: Megan Mullally, Party Puppets and Neighborhood Watch

Karen Walker and Conan O’Brien

Megan Mullally came to national prominence as the pill-popping, vodka-swilling Karen Walker on TV’s Will & Grace. But Mullally can also sing and proves how good a voice she has with a new musical comedy show that features her new band Nancy & Beth. Also joining in the fun is Conan O’Brien, who’s not known for his singing, but is certainly know for his jokes. Stephanie Hunt (of Friday Night Lights fame) also joins in the fun. Showtime is 9 p.m. at .

Party Puppets

Celebrate reading with the Party Puppets Show, a musical comedy variety show. It’s a family show designed to encourage reading. Showtime is 4:30 p.m. in the Community Room of . Admission is free.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting

The Plummer Park Neighborhood Watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. in Fiesta Hall in . City and Sheriff’s representatives will be on hand to discuss recent issues and concerns in the neighborhood. Among the topics discussed will be security issues around Plummer Park, neighborhood crime statistics, facility improvements and plans for the National Night Out on Aug. 7.

Board Meetings

  • The Senior Advisory Board will meet at 2 p.m. in Items on the agenda include discussion of the reorganized Human Services Department and the city’s task force on hoarding.
  • The Disabilities Advisory Board will meet at 6 p.m. in . Items on the agenda include disability improvements to the West Hollywood Library and a presentation about services provided by the Center for Civic Mediation.
