Tuesday's Scoop: Local Watch Parties Planned for State of the Union Speech

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Tuesday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: State of the Union

There are watch parties for those looking to catch the President’s speech with like-minded fans today. The Obama Biden website allows supporters to look up watch parties by ZIP code. A private home on Rugby Drive planning a get-together seems to have reached maximum attendance, but there are several additional watch parties set around Los Angeles County. Do you plan to watch the speech? If so, what are you hoping to hear from the President?

Reminder:

• The city of West Hollywood’s East Side Project Advisory Committee Meeting has been cancelled. The next meeting of the advisory committee will be on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at West Hollywood Community Center at Plummer Park, according to the notice of cancellation.

The Forecast:

• There is no rain in the forecast for Tuesday. The National Weather Service predicts a sunny outlook, with a high near 70. North northwest wind will be between 5 and 10 mph. West Hollywood will see mostly clear skies in the evening, with a low around 51.
