Outside Their Comfort Zone

We’ve been in situations where we step outside our comfort zone. The Improv at 8162 Melrose Avenue offers a show of devoted to that single topic. “A-Broad Stories” is a comedy show featuring female storytellers reading essays about their experiences stepping outside their comfort zones. Dumb Dora Is So Dumb . . .

Match Game was so much fun it made me want to blank. Match Game lives on as the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center offers a loving parody of the 1970s game show for a second and final night. Dennis Hensley hosts “The MisMatch Game” joined by six local actors impersonating various celebs. The panel starts filling in the blanks at 7 p.m. in the Renberg Theatre in the Village at Ed Gould Plaza, 1125 McCadden Place.

It may not have all the drama of the 1990s campy nighttime soap opera, but the does have lots of fresh produce for sale. Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the certified market is a popular destination for locals looking to stock up on fresh items to start the week. The market is located on Melrose Place (just off Melrose Avenue) between Orlando Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard.
