Monday's Scoop: City Offering Free Christmas Tree Recycling

Curbside collection is available for any tree as long as all decorative ornaments are removed.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Monday in West Hollywood:

Free Christmas Tree Recycling

The city of West Hollywood will offer free holiday tree recycling on your regular trash day. The city is asking residents to remove all decorations and the tree's base. Do not place your tree in a plastic bag. Doing so can prevent your tree from being recycled and/or picked up.

City Hall Closed:

located at 8300 Santa Monica Blvd. is closed today, according to the City of West Hollywood website calendar. If you are looking to pick up parking permits, head to the or the Kings Road Parking Structure on Kings Road.

Parking Enforcement: Permit parking and associated time limits, as well as peak hour towing restrictions will not be enforced in the city of West Hollywood. Enforcement of permit parking, parking time limits and peak hour towing restrictions will resume Tuesday. There will also be no street sweeping.

Farmers' Market Closed:

As an extension of the holiday weekend, the West Hollywood market in Plummer Park's north parking lot will be closed today, according to the city's calendar.

The Forecast:

The National Weather Service forecasts calm wind and sunny, with a high near 74. The evening will see mostly clear skies, with a low around 52.
