WEST
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (April 3, 2014) – It’s time to give the proverbial “Walk of
Shame” – that early morning stroll home in last night’s outfit after an evening

of passionate partying – a better name. The West Hollywood Walk of Shame Bar Crawl on Sunday, April 6, a unique
scavenger hunt and bar crawl hosted by collection of West Hollywood bars, offers
a fun opportunity to raise safer sex awareness and support a local nonprofit
organization. Proceeds from the five-bar daytime event will benefit AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which will be offering

free HIV/STD testing and free condoms onsite at the bar crawl.

“A
‘one-night stand’ doesn’t have to be shameful – any sexual experience can be fun
and carefree when everyone involved shows love to themselves and others by

responsibly knowing their HIV and STD status, speaking openly with their partners, and using condoms to prevent any accidental pregnancies or

transmissions,” said AHF Associate Director of Public Health Alexander Goncalvez, who oversees the
organization’s testing programs.

Teams of
four or more people are encouraged for the bar crawl’s social media scavenger
hunt, where participants will get points for missions including taking pictures
with AHF advertising, presenting a hand stamp signifying that the participant
took a free HIV/STD test, or making a human pyramid (with bonus points if the
top person is taking a drink!). The winning team could win up to $500 in gift
cards from the participating bars, which are all a stone’s throw from West

Hollywood’s iconic Sunset Strip.
