Singer/songwriter Tracy Newman and her band, the Reinforcements bring their special brand of original acoustic folk songs to Genghis Cohen (740 N. Tracy Newman and the Reinforcements are Los Angeles based and have a loyal following.  Their two albums A Place in the Sun and I Just See You have been met with both audience and critical acclaim.  Newman also gained notoriety as an Emmy and Peabody Award winner for co-writing the groundbreaking "coming out" episode of The Ellen Show as well as co-creating the long-running ABC series, According to Jim.  She's also a founding member of the famous comedy/improv troupe The Groundlings.  The band consists of Newman (vocal/guitar,) John Cartwright (bass,) Paula Fong (back-up vocals,) Doug Knoll (drums) and Gene Lippmann (guitar.)  For more info visit their website: www.tracynewman.com
