This week in West Hollywood, California Assembly candidate Torie Osborn received another local Democratic club's key endorsement—one mired in controversy, Assemblyman Mike Feuer introduced a resolution to a bill that would restrict helicopters' flight paths and set minimum altitudes over residential areas, and John D’Amico won "Most Beloved Weho Council Member" at WeHo Confidential's first annual Who's Who Awards.

Prosecutors added Tuesday against a German national suspected in a four-night arson spree in Hollywood, West Hollywood, Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. The charges could send Harry Burkhart, 24, to prison for life.

Assemblyman Mike Feuer (D-Los Angeles) joined the chorus of voices asking Congress to do something about noisy, low-flying helicopters in Los Angeles neighborhoods, introducing a resolution Tuesday asking the California Legislature to support the proposed federal of 2011.

Longtime members said a sudden influx of new, pro-Torie Osborn members stacked the vote in her favor at their endorsement meeting Wednesday. The candidate defended the tactic.

In recognition of National Wear Read Day on Friday, the City of West Hollywood will join other municipalities across the country in lighting up City Hall in red for a week to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke.
