This week in West Hollywood, the controversial Walgreens development got the green light from the Planning Commission, the City Council decided to create a committee devoted to improving the annual Pride festival, and 50th Assembly District candidate Torie Osborn won an endorsement from the Weho-based Stonewall Democratic Club.

In crime news, three men were arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery, Pinkberry's co-founder was in custody on an assault warrant, and a suspected drunk driver was apprehended after a high-speed chase through West Hollywood.

Sheila Watson, 60, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft this week after allegedly from a West Hollywood man selling on Craigslist, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.
