Also this week, Zipcar arrives in West Hollywood and the Planning Commission gets a refresher course on land-use laws.

This week in West Hollywood, President Obama's visit caused traffic in the nearby Westwood-Beverly Hills area, car-sharing program Zipcar launched with 10 vehicles in reserved on-street parking spots in five locations throughout West Hollywood, and the community voiced concerns over a closed City Council session reviewing City Manager Paul Arevalo's performance.

The final regional public hearing for District 5 is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at Hollenbeck Middle School Auditorium.
