Main Event:

The annual meeting will feature a "Trees of Plummer Park" presentation and slideshow with speaker certified arborist Sylva Blackstone. The meeting is at 7 p.m. in the Sky Room at West Hollywood Park. Organizers recommend parking on the third Floor of the new parking structure.

The Sunset Strip: Carrie Fisher Book Signing

The iconic Star Wars screen siren is coming to the Sunset Strip this evening to discuss her latest book, Shockaholic, in which the New York Times bestselling author discusses her latest psychiatric addiction — shock treatment. The event is set for 7 p.m. at .

City Meeting: Human Services Commission Meeting

Among other agenda items, the Commission will review the staff recommendation that $11,987 in contract savings from the 2010-11 social services programs be used to augment rental assistance through National Council of Jewish Women's program. The meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the Community Conference Room.

Also Today: West Hollywood Women's Mastery Series

The free ongoing program to help women connect and thrive continues in 's Senior Lounge this evening. The educational workshop dedicated to personal and financial growth, improving relationships and health, will be taking place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. To sign up, call 213-840-4958.

The Forecast: Patchy Fog

The National Weather Service forecasts patchy fog before 11 a.m., otherwise cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny. Temperatures are expected to reach near 66 in West Hollywood, dropping to a low around 51.
