Overheard in West Hollywood ...

We bring you some of the latest buzz heard in and around the neighborhood.

The folks over at Frontiers posted a short blurb regarding Christina Aguilera's "public intoxication" arrest in West Hollywood on Tuesday morning. The anonymous op-ed piece challenges the  decision to arrest the pop singer and said, "If they are going to start arresting for public intoxication in West Hollywood they need to start patrolling between San Vicente/Robertson on foot and arrest everyone they encounter."

A black cat named Lucky is missing in West Hollywood. He has a white patch on his chest, but is otherwise completely black. He's an indoor cat and is very friendly. If you find him or spot him around the neighborhood, you're asked to call 323-848-6895 or send an e-mail to athcollins@weho.org. Lucky has been missing since Feb. 27. The city of West Hollywood posted his information online Wednesday morning and it can be found here

An op-ed piece by Councilman Jeffrey Prang was distributed on Tuesday and sent to West Hollywood Patch in which he explains why West Hollywood voters should vote no on Measure A. Read it .

A West Hollywood resident posted some really nice photos of the sun rising earlier this morning. @TheFilmQueen tweeted, "L.A. Dawn from Weho." See the accompanying photos. 

LAist has a candidate profile of Mayor on its website today. The reporter asked him plenty of questions regarding his priorities for the city, the city budget, the smoking ban, development and maintaining the unique character of the city. Check it out here. In other election news, the Log Cabin Republicans sent out an e-mail Tuesday launching a final "Get out the vote for Scott Schmidt." Phone banks, precinct walks and other campaign events are being organized. You can sign up to volunteer and get all the details at Schmidt's campaign website
