Memorial Planned for Transgender Woman Killed in Hollywood
A memorial for Nathan "Cassidy" Vickers will be held Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Gower Street.
Family, friends and transgender rights advocates are organizing a memorial for a 32-year-old transgender woman who was killed on Nov. 17 in Hollywood.
The memorial for Nathan Henry Vickers, who went by the name of Cassidy, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lexington Avenue and Gower Street, the location where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives believe Vickers was standing in the area when a gunman walked up to the victim and shot her, according to an LAPD news release.

At the time, described as a black male, almost 6-feet-tall, who was wearing a hat and all black clothing. Authorities were investigating whether the incident may be connected to the shooting of a on that same night.
The police department had no updates available on the case when Patch checked on Wednesday.
