Spacecraft's Kitchen 24 Landing on Santa Monica Blvd. in Early February

West Hollywood night owls have something to look forward to in 2012. Retro chic restaurant and bar, , is slated for an early February opening in the heart of Boystown.

A branch of the 3-year-old eatery on Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood, the Weho establishment is set to take over the space at 8575 Santa Monica Blvd., adjacent to the . Several restaurants have come and gone from that location over the years, the most recent being Primo Bistro.

Community Development Director Anne McIntosh Kitchen 24’s petition to operate late night hours from 2-6 a.m., requiring that the restaurant stop service in the patio area at 2 a.m. The 24-hour diner also agreed to hire extra security between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m.

"Currently, [Los Angeles design firm] spacecraft is finalizing all details to the second Kitchen 24," according to the restaurant's recent announcement. "For this project, Kris Keith [founder of spacecraft] harmonized the aesthetic with cream palette tone of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry."

The newest Kitchen 24 will boast an outdoor patio, wrap-around counter, and added coffee bar. Current menu items, "prepared in-house with fresh organic ingredients," include "eggs and stuff," soups and entree salads, hot and cold sandwiches, and burgers—all within the $8-12 range.
