City Hosts Free Seminar About the Redevelopment Agency Dissolution Process

Seminar is Sept. 20 in Plummer Park Community Center.

The following is a press release from the City of West Hollywood.

The City of West Hollywood is hosting “Dissolution of Redevelopment,” a free seminar that will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Rooms 5 and 6 at the Plummer Park Community Center, at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. The seminar will be led by the Rosenow Spevacek Group. The Rosenow Spevacek Group is a professional redevelopment consulting firm that has advised cities regarding redevelopment activities since 1979.

The seminar will provide a simple and straightforward overview of the redevelopment dissolution process, which can often be complex and is frequently changing. Attendees will learn about the dissolution process, including explanations of the required procedures, roles of the key parties, and new terminology such as Successor Agency, Oversight Board, and Recognized Obligations.
