'Riot Hyatt' Is Reviving Its Rock 'n' Roll Roots

The hotel's new Heard @ Andaz collaboration features new unique music programs.

Once known as the “Riot Hyatt,” the is getting back to its rock ‘n’ roll roots with a new music series called Heard @ Andaz—a collaboration with the Sunset Strip's Roxy Theatre, multi-platinum music producer JR Rotem, and the Playlist Generation, the hotel's official music curators. 

Heard kicked off earlier this month with Pillow Talk & Under the Covers, a session of acoustic cover songs from bands who have stayed at the Andaz (The Doors, Led Zeppelin or The Who), followed by a Podcast led by owner Nic Adler.

The conversation, along with a photo slide show of each act, will be available at UnderTheCoverSongs.tumblr.com following each show.

In addition to Pillow Talk, the Playlist Generation is curating special DJ nights taking place throughout the property. "Wine Down" with a happy hour on Wednesdays, plus more music programming in the works, according to the Andaz Weho Twitter.
