Main Event: Leighton Meester with Check in The Dark

Universal Republic recording artist Leighton Meester, best known for her role as Blair on CW's Gossip Girl, is performing at the  along with Check in The Dark. Meester, who recently starred in the 2010 country drama film Country Strong, is set to sing at 9:30 p.m.

Other Happenings:

• If you are heading to the  today (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) in 's north parking lot, stock up on ingredients for Jennifer Brody's fresh recipe for . The weekly market also features organic and farm fresh fruits, fish, vegetables, baked goods, flowers and crepes. 
• A Planning Safety Commission meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in the Community Conference Room at City Hall. Unfinished business includes campaigns for public safety education and proposed "Stop Means Stop," and a pedestrian safety summer outreach program, according to the meeting agenda.
