Wednesday's Scoop: Metro to Host Live Internet Chat on I-405 Construction

Experts will also answer general questions about the massive $1 billion I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project during a one-hour live internet chat.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Wednesday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Metro I-405 Internet Chat

Doug Failing, Metro's Executive Director of Highway Projects, and K.N. Murthy, Executive Director of Transit Project Delivery, will offer the best ways to avoid or minimize the impacts of the 53-hour closure of the I-405 freeway between the I-10 and U.S. 101 the weekend of July 16-17. The one-hour live internet chat will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at metro.net.

Other Happenings:

  • continues on Westmount Dr. and Palm Ave. from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Sherbourne Dr. & Shoreham Dr. from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be limited reserved parking on Holloway Dr during the grinding construction activities.

  • The city is hosting an HIV Services Roundtable with LA County officials at 5:30 p.m. in , Room 5 and 6. The meeting is designed for HIV service users only. RSVP by calling 213-639-6713.

  • West Hollywood will see sunshine, with a high near 77, dropping to a low around 61, according to the National Weather Service. East southeast wind will remain between 5 and 10 miles per hour, becoming south southwest.
