Saturday's Scoop: Kids Fair, Ladies Night and a Women's Leadership Conference

It's a busy day of culinary delights, leadership trainings, and a public safety expo.

Families can enjoy entertainment, arts and crafts and face painting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at . Koontz Hardware will also provide emergency preparedness supplies, including items for survival, sanitation safety, cooking, tools and car survival kits. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department will present a Public Safety Expo. Free parking will be available at the new West Hollywood Park/Library Garage (enter parking garage from Robertson Boulevard at El Tovar Place). 

Women's Leadership Conference

The day-long event geared towards women who live, work and play in West Hollywood, will feature leadership training led by California Women Lead and the Los Angeles-Westside chapter of the National Women's Political Caucus speakers, a continental breakfast and keynote luncheon from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in . The cost is $25 for early attendance, $45 for day of admittance, and $15 for the senior/full-time student rate.

 

Come out with your galpals for dinner and dessert from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the . Dine on shrimp with Green Goddess dipping sauce, cornmeal crust pizzas with mixed greens, bacon and ricotta, veal meatballs with artichokes, tomatoes, green olives and sage, chicken rollades.  Dessert for the girls going all out - chocolate brownie tart with passion fruit ice cream, all for$85.
