Saturday's Scoop: Celebrate Go-Go Dancer Appreciation Day in Weho

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Saturday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Go-Go Fest Street Party

Larrabee Street at Santa Monica Boulevard will be shut down from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. for a half-dozen different go-go dancing contests. Eleven nightclub will have a choreographed show, “Evolution of Go-Go” and AIDS Healthcare Foundation will have its testing van there for Go-Go Get Tested. Halloween Happenings:

• is having a Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves Halloween Party, complete with fortune tellers, magicians and poolside performances by The JJAMZ and Allah Las, along with DJ sets by Mickey Madden of Maroon 5 and Mark Schoenecker. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

• is hosting a Halloween "Dress As Your Favorite Denizen" Costume Party. They'll be anointing best costume prizes, doling out door prizes and giving drink specials, including the $5 "you call it" drink with Crystal Head Vodka, and "mystery shot sauce."

• Collie Buddz with Gappy Ranks, New Kingston, DJ Pee Wee, & DJ Selecta 7 between sets - The Roxy Theatre at 8 p.m.
• Gaelic Storm - The Troubadour at 8 p.m.
• Halloween SPOOKTACULAR: The Michael Des Barnes Band, Diamondback Annie, Whitey Kirst, Prima Donna & VJ Jamie Scrap - The Viper Room at 8 p.m.
• Dirty Little Secrets Burlesque, Day Zero, Artemas, Chico & The Sapphires, Billy Connally Project and To Humans - Whisky A Go-Go
• Patton Oswalt & Friends - Largo at 8:30 p.m.

The Forecast:

• The National Weather Service predicts a sunny Saturday, with a high near 85, clear skies and calm wind 5 to 10 miles per hour. The low will be around 59.
