They have this event a gay bar? Seems like they could do something symbolizing the millions of deaths from the dread disease could be held at a more suitable location then a gay bar. I'm not sure where though? The city was stupid to spend all that money to build that tacky fountain on the corner of Holloway and Santa Monica Blvd. They could have used all that money to build that ugly fountain and donated it to helping the homeless or sick children. The area where the fountain is could have been used for the city to put up a giant Christmas tree each year and hold important ceremonies like world AIDS day at that location rather then hold the ceremony at at a gay bar of all places. This city is so poorly managed. I blame the council memberswho have no class and terrible ideas in development and spending the $$$ to making this city more pleasant for the residents who live here. All they want to do is make West Hollywood a tourist trap for gays to come party & play and live the decadent lives that ONLY leads to trouble.
