SoulCycle Rides into West Hollywood

The trendy NYC chain opens its first West Coast location on Sunset Boulevard.

Sunset Plaza now has more to offer than designer clothes and gourmet cuisine. As of last week, West Hollywood's celeb-spotting district got a spin studio.

SoulCycle, New York City's in vogue workout chain, opened its first West Coast studio at 8570 Sunset Blvd. Friday, and plans are in the works for three more in Los Angeles alone, co-owner Julie Rice told Huffington Post.

According to the SoulCycle website, their 45-minute indoor cycling workout incorporates weights and core exercises, but Rice considers SoulCycle more than just a physical workout.

"It combines a mental component of inspirational coaching with a kick ass workout," she told Huffington Post. "SoulCycle's goal is to help people find their personal strength and joy through exercise."

Aside from a whopping 52 bikes, the West Hollywood studio boasts a "listening bar," boutique, showers, plus that convenient Sunset Plaza parking we all love.
