Fresh Brothers Coming to West Hollywood

Fresh Brothers is about to open its doors in West Hollywood.

The Manhattan Beach-based pizza chain will be located at 8613 Santa Monica Blvd. below Trader Joe’s in the former location of Plaisir Catering Café, according to founder Adam Goldberg.

There are currently nine Fresh Brothers locations from Marina del Rey to Hollywood.

Goldberg said he has been wanting to open in West Hollywood for the past couple of years and believes the pizza chain will be a good fit for the area.

"We just believe that it’s a wonderful market with people that appreciate a high quality pizza product as well as a healthier fresh choice between our pizza, salad and our baked chicken wings," Goldberg said.

What makes the family-run business stand out from its competitors is offerings that include vegan and gluten-free menu items as well as what he said is the restaurant’s “old school Mid-West, East Coast flavors.” Goldberg is a Chicago native. His wife, Debbie, as well as his brothers, Michael and Scott, who owns a Gary, Indiana pizzeria, are also involved in the business.

Fresh Brothers uses high-end meat and part skim milk cheese which makes their pizza less greasy, Goldberg said.

The new location will feature dine-in and outdoor, patio seating as well as serve beer and wine.

Fresh Brothers is scheduled to open in early September, Goldberg said.
