About MarkD

I'm a 20-year resident of West Hollywood -- been a homeowner and renter both.  I'm increasingly frustrated with over-development and associated traffic problems, with no one on city council who seems willing to address the traffic issues caused by their grand plans.

I am entitled to my opinion being a long time resident of WH and have some personal experience with council member Duran. It was long time ago but we know each other. I don't particularly like lawyers and enjoy seeing then in the hot seat.

I have decided to plant the seeds for a new community activism group called weho community alliance. I have created a public face book page and a closed discussion area. This editorial has really stirred the concerns of many and I have been drawn to create a space for the sharing of ideas to continue and solutions to be born. I am very passionate about PPP, and have no desire to take any energy away from its singleness of purpose. So I'm also starting the group to have a area for other community concerns. Term limits, etc.... Check it out and if you like and if you are motivated to join send me a message and I can add you into the closed disscussion area.
Unless we change the system, nothing will change.

I think he was meaning YEARS ago, it has been a blight for several years..and I don't think Walgreens will ever get in there....but sure wish something would....at this point I think it's a tear down and probably new multipurpose retail on bottom, condo or apt or even office with underground parking.....

Skytag, a giant graphics company already blocked from West Hollywood once, is completely funding the Yes on A campaign through Sunset Partners.

Skytag, through Sunset Partners, has duped West Hollywood citizens to appear on their campaign literature, and hired actors living in the city for use of their images.

Skytag has also hired several people to go on boards like this and pretend to be "community members" to further discredit the No on A efforts and to spread false information about taxes that would come to the city. The taxes are a LIE. No other municipality where this has passed has collected the taxes because the tax portion doesn't stand up to court challenges brought by -- you guessed it -- Skytag!

No on Measure A.
