The sheriff's station is located in the heart of the city. You will often find deputies patrolling the 1.9More square miles of West Hollywood in vehicles and bikes. By day the area has around 37,000 residents, but during nights and weekends the city's population increases up to 80,000 - 100,000 people.

The sheriff's station consists of the patrol unit, traffic unit and detectives bureau. The city also has a red light camera unit and a special unit called Community Impact Team (CIT). Volunteers are an important part of the sheriff's department and interested residents are encouraged to participate. There is an option on the sheriff's website that allows members of the community to submit questions to Captain Fraser.
