8401 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069
This urban property is located on the Sunset Strip, steps away from The Comedy Store and the House of Blues. After aMore substantial redesign, Andaz West Hollywood Hyatt, the first Andaz in the U.S., features 257  guestrooms. Many of the rooms offer floor to ceiling windows that provide city views day and night, while street noise is evident. There are mirrors everywhere in the rooms' stark, simple but modern design, however there are no paintings. Instead of waiting in line at a front desk, guests are greeted by employees armed with laptops and glasses of wine or sparkling water, making check-in an enjoyment. Room prices cover virtually all amenities, including local calls, Wi-Fi, and even non-alcoholic beverages and snacks in the minibar. Limited 24-hour room service is available for those desiring more sustenance. Free coffee, espresso and muffins/pastries are offered in the mornings at reception. RH, the restaurant, attracts more than just hotel guests with its fine cuisine, unique look, menu and architecture. The hotel's hotspot is the rooftop pool -- wonderful views!!

West Hollywood is filled with different areas for shopping, but the Sunset Plaza shopping area is one of the mostMore exciting. It is filled with small, intimate boutiques that showcase some of the up and coming designers in Los Angeles as well as shops that are filled with some of fashion's biggest names, including Hugo Boss, Armani and Roberto Cavalli. There is a locale for H&M, the British fashion import that offers the latest designs at a fraction of the cost. After a day of shopping, you are among some of the city's most popular restaurants, such as Asia de Cuba in the Mondrian Hotel, Ketchup, the upscale restaurant from the Dolce Group that serves gourmet diner food and Andaz, a Spanish-French inspired restaurant for famed Chef Sebastien Archambault who's menu is driven from ingredients from the local farmers markets. There is also plenty of nightlife activities, including live music at The Viper Room, House of Blues, and the historic Whisky-a-Go-Go.
