We offer a community-based service so many of our WeHo participants are out in the community learning basic skills that may lead to paid work through volunteering at local nonprofits like Project Angel Food (which provides daily meals for people homebound or disabled by HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses).

I just don't understand why the headline reads this about funding for "local" disabled residents.
I don't think it is a reason not to donate to the worthy charity, but how is this for locals?
