Starting from humble beginnings designing a new type of bedding at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, Suzanne Diamond has come up in the business enormously. Today her futons, made exclusively from natural fibers, reach over 20 million customers worldwide. The Diamonds, who still own the company that started in San Francisco in 1976, have stores all across the country including West Hollywood. Its futons, in addition to being arguably more comfortable than traditional polyurethane foam mattresses, are undeniably more environmentally friendly. This characteristic goes into all of its organic products including futon frames and futon covers. This sizeable location off La Brea carries most of The Futon Shop's products.
