Rescue Dog of the Week: Jitterbug

The 2-year-old has an amazing orange brindle coat and a Roman nose.

Jitterbug has never known the joy of dancing or being carefree. Ignored, probably beaten, she came into the shelter, collar embedded in her neck, with a litter of puppies. Everyone who meets her now comments on her orange brindle coat and Roman nose, and her charm.

Jitterbug, listed as a young shepherd/mastiff mix, does fine with her kennel mate. Jitterbug has learned to wag her tail and is devoted to those who reach out to pet her or take her for a walk. You can see it all in this video: youtu.be/Rr6PXWsJORA.

Ace of Hearts, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, holds adoption days every Saturday at the , 508 N. Doheny Dr., from 1-4 p.m. Click here for information on how to adopt a rescue dog from Ace of Hearts.
