The Mondrian Celebrates Cannes With Skybar Soiree

It's easy to adventurize in West Hollywood. All you have to do is walk out the door and you never know where you'll end up. The other night I did just that and ended up in Cannes, France! Well, not really. More like Skybar at for the Pre-Cannes Event to celebrate the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the world's oldest and most celebrated film festivals held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres on the French Riviera May 11-22.

INFOLIST.com together with Mac Africa Productions hosted this Pre-Cannes Soiree along with actress/singer Nia Peeples, comedian/host B.D. Freeman and Kato Kaelin.

As I strolled along Skybar's expansive wooden deck on a balmy evening, surrounded by expansive city views, I wondered what it would be like to hobnob with directors, producers and movie stars in the South of France.  Then,  a group of models walked by and stopped right in front of me.  A guy in thick black rimmed glasses, a pumpkin colored shirt, tight black pants and very cool black shoes, instructed the women where to walk, stop and turn. Maybe I really was in Cannes!

A familiar high energy California guy walked up to chat with some of the models. It was Kato Kaelin! Suddenly I was transported back to 1995, watching this young perky guy on the witness stand at the infamous O.J. Simpson murder trial. I was definitely in LA, not Cannes,  but it didn't matter. As I always say, you don't need to go exotic locales to adventurize. You just have to step out your door in West Hollywood. You never know what might happen, where you'll end up and of course, who you'll meet. Maybe someone famous or infamous.

Adventure Tip: Remember that adventures are right in front of you, sometimes hiding in plain sight. You just have to open your eyes!
