LGBTQ College Rush

More than 150 college students from around Southern California will come together on Sunday, Nov.7 for the second annual LGBTQ College Rush, a free social event to promote inter-campus unity among LGBTQ collegians. College Rush is presented by the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Young Professionals Council and LifeWorks youth development program.

In addition to enjoying free food and drinks and fun door prizes, students at College Rush will have the opportunity for students to meet recruiters from a number of Fortune 500 companies. They will also have the opportunity to learn more about many community resources, including LifeWorks. LifeWorks offers peer, group and one-on-one mentoring and other services for LGBTQ youth ages 12-24.

A roundtable discussion for campus LGBT leaders will take place at 1 p.m., before the main event begins at 2 p.m.

College Rush is sponsored by the University of Southern California and University of California-Los Angeles LGBT centers.
