First Middle School Culmination from Laurel Span School

Transitions are all important for teenagers, so the first class to culminate from the first middle school in West Hollywood is a big deal. At 4:00pm on June 19th, the Laurel School 8th grade class will culminate at Fairfax High School Auditorium, at 7850 Melrose Avenue. The ceremony will include a performance by the Laurel Panthers Band, conducted by award-winning, Fairfax High School band director, Mr. Raymundo Vizcarra, who initiated the music program at Laurel.

The young Laurel pioneers forged the way for a significant option for Middle School students in West Hollywood. In 2010, history and innovation blended beautifully as West Hollywood's first middle school converged with Laurel Elementary School's 100th year. The new entity, Laurel Span School now concludes it's first 8th grade class.
