Community Tree Planting Set for National Arbor Day

 
The City of West Hollywood is celebrating Arbor Day with the planting of 14 trees all along North Hayworth Avenue in front of Laurel Span School.  The kids are excited to plant trees to beautify their school and make a lasting contribution to the community.  Students, families and community volunteers will get gloves, tools and supervision from the City gardeners.  West Hollywood Mayor Jeffery Prang will kick off the event at 9:00am on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The event starts with a short “how to” planting session, and a talk on the value of trees in our urban environment. Come just to show your appreciation for our fine city or take part in the actual planting.
