Healthy Spot Wins Poll by Healthy Margin

The results are in and wins by a landslide. This week’s asked readers to vote for their favorite pet store in West Hollywood and the 2-year-old pet store at 8525 Santa Monica Blvd. won by a healthy margin.

A total of 55 people cast votes, 35 of them (63%) chose Healthy Spot as their favorite. , half a block away, came in second with 21% of the votes.

Reader Jill Ryther wrote a passionate commentary, “Healthy Spot is far superior in not only products but in customer service than any pet store I have ever been to. It is such peace of mind knowing that I have a place to shop for my animals where anything I buy is premium quality and that the staff is honest and knowledgeable. Since I started shopping at Healthy Spot, I never go anywhere else.”

Reader K.M. said, “I find Healthy Spot's collection better curated.” Meanwhile reader Andi Steloff mentioned the donation bin at the entrance for rescues and the store’s practice of rounding up purchases to the nearest dollar and donating the difference to local animal rescue organizations.

Several readers like that Healthy Spot does regular pet-related events like their Halloween costume contest for pets.
