A workshop to discuss the community vision for 1343 N. Laurel Ave will take place on Oct. 12. This workshop marks the beginning of a public outreach process by the City of West Hollywood to develop community-generated concepts for potential uses of the City-owned property.
Three main goals guide the activities included in this effort:
- Identify and understand the property’s opportunities and limitations
- Explore all potential uses that meet local needs
- Welcome and encourage all stakeholders to participate
The community visioning process starts with an online survey available now through October 7, 2013, at the project’s website: www.1343NLaurelAve.org. Preliminary results of the online survey will be presented at the workshop on October 12th.
The workshop will be held at Plummer Park Community Center in rooms 5 and 6 on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The City will offer a free shuttle from Plummer Park to 1343 N. Laurel Ave. for participants who wish to tour the property beginning at 9:00 AM.
All community feedback will be summarized in a final report and presentation to the City Council. Visit the project website (www.1343NLaurelAve.org) to learn more about this process and the history of the property, to sign up for e‑mail updates, and to participate in the online activities.
