Owners of a West Hollywood Clinic Appear in Court
Both are accused of illegally billing state and federal health programs.
Two owners of a West Hollywood clinic, who are accused of illegally billing state and federal health programs, made a court appearance on Thursday.
Alla Chernov and Boris Sokol were in court for a pretrial hearing.
They are both accused of billing state and federal health programs, including Medi-Cal and Medicare, up to $50 million for services they did not provide to patients. Some of the patients they billed had already died, according to investigators.
Both Chernov and Sokol, who are married, are scheduled to return to court on Sept. 26.
