Monday's Scoop: City Council, Farmers' Market and 'The Gay Marriage Plays'

Plummer Park's north parking lot hosts the weekly marketplace until 2 p.m. Playwrights in support of marriage equality will showcase their theatrical work at The Renberg Theatre at 8 p.m.

Greetings, and welcome to today's City Scoop. Here's what's happening Monday in West Hollywood:

Main Event: Regular City Council Meeting

Set for 6:30 p.m. in , the agenda includes the Council's adoption of a proposed ordinance that governs medical marijuana collectives and the consideration of an amendment to the contract with the City of Beverly Hills for parking meter collection, among other items. Public hearings are set regarding an agreement with the West Hollywood Marketing and Visitors Bureau and The Avenues, as well as 2011-12 maintenance for Santa Monica Boulevard.
