Nominations Begin for Weho City Council Elections

The nomination period for persons interested in running for the West Hollywood City Council will begin on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 8 a.m.

The deadline for filing nomination papers is Friday, December 10, 2010 at 5 p.m., pursuant to the State Elections Code. The City of West Hollywood Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 for the purpose of electing three members of the City Council to four-year terms.

The nomination process requires a potential candidate to gather between 20 and 30 signatures by voters registered in West Hollywood. Potential candidates must be at least 18 years old, residents of West Hollywood and registered voters within the City. All interested candidates can pick up the necessary forms from the West Hollywood City Clerk's Office at City Hall, 8300 Santa Monica Boulevard.
