Abbe Land to Be Installed As Mayor Monday
This will be Land's fifth round as mayor of West Hollywood.
One month after elections were held, West Hollywood's City Council will officially install Abbe Land as Mayor.
Land has served on the council for 21 years, second in length only to John Heilman's 28-year term.
Newcomer John D'Amico will be seated as the council's mayor pro tempore.

Monday's reception, which will include a performance by Catte Adam and Beautiful People, will be held at 6 p.m. at the West Hollywood Library, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd.
The West Hollywood City Council reorganizes on an annual basis, with a new mayor chosen to serve for one year.

Land has served as mayor four times since first being elected in 1986. She is the executive director and CEO of the Trevor Project, a national organization that provides "crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay,
bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth."
